One idea.
Your first AI video.

HIGGSFIELD AI
5 STEPS / GETTING STARTED
Illustrative cover · A beginner’s guide to Higgsfield.
A little reaction?

Higgsfield is a creative workspace that brings multiple AI image and video models together. You can start from text or a reference image, then use editing tools as needed. For a first attempt, aim for one clear, usable scene. Platform overview ↗

STEP 01 / PICK A STARTING POINT

1. Choose a model for your scene.

Sign in, open Video, and choose an available model. Match it to your goal: character movement, a cinematic shot, or a reference-led scene. Check which inputs that model supports. Model guide ↗

Decide what the viewer should see before touching the settings. A person turning toward the camera is a clearer first brief than an entire film with several locations.

✦ Keep the first attempt manageable

Use the model and settings your account actually offers. Access differs by plan, and new features can roll out gradually. Plan access ↗

SAMPLE PLAYER / ADD YOUR OWN FIRST CLIP
The flower clip demonstrates the player. It is not a Higgsfield result; replace it with a clip you create while following the guide.

STEPS 02–03 / REFERENCE AND PROMPT

2. Add a clear reference. 3. Give it one action.

Step 2: For image-to-video, start with a sharp, well-lit reference whose subject is easy to recognize. Keep the framing close to the scene you want to animate. Reference workflow ↗

Step 3: Describe the subject’s action, setting and light, camera movement, then mood. Keep one main action and one purposeful camera move. The example below is a starting prompt, not a tested output. Prompt basics ↗

Reference example. Replace this illustration with the image you used as input.

Result example. Replace this illustration with a frame from your first generated clip.

Illustrations only · No generated result is claimed for these sample images.

“A clear first shot teaches you more than a crowded first prompt.”

STEPS 04–05 / GENERATE AND REFINE

4. Set the output. 5. Review before retrying.

Step 4: Choose a supported ratio, duration, and resolution. Use portrait for a vertical brief or landscape for a wide one. Read the cost on Generate before confirming. Credit settings ↗

Step 5: Watch the full clip. Check identity, details, motion, and any audio. Change one variable on the next attempt; increase quality once the shot works. Review and iteration ↗

BEFORE GENERATE / QUICK CHECK

Can you describe the result?

One subject, one action, one camera move. Know the purpose of the shot before spending a generation.
AFTER GENERATE / QUICK CHECK

Did it work all the way through?

Check the beginning, middle, and ending. Save the useful settings before changing anything.

A SIMPLE STARTER PROMPT

Try a scene you can clearly picture.

Suggested prompt · Not tested: A small blue bird stands on a white railing, tilts its head toward the camera, and gently flaps its wings. Neutral daylight. Slow camera push-in, one continuous shot. Preserve its colors and appearance. No text on screen.

FAQ / A FEW GOOD QUESTIONS

Before your first generation.

Can I use every model for free?

No. Access and credits vary by plan. Check your account and the current Pricing page before expecting free use of a particular model.

Should I switch models after every bad result?

No. Pick a model that matches the shot, then refine your brief. Changing models without a clear reason makes comparisons harder.

Will a reference guarantee the same character?

No. References help guide the result, but you still need to inspect the full clip for changes in identity, detail, or movement.

Are the sample visuals Higgsfield results?

No. The images and flower video are illustrations and player samples. Add your own input and output when you have created a clip.

Did this spark an idea?

A small reaction is a lovely way to mark the moment.
